For over 20 years I have worked with forecasting and replenishment systems. Prior to becoming an independent consultant, I worked for a DIY retailer and then a supply chain software company. As a consultant I have worked across the entire range of company size, from the world’s largest to small wholesalers, primarily in grocery but with diverse retail experience including plumbing supply and mobile phone retailing.
I have worked on over a dozen forecasting and replenishment systems implementations and have had assignments with over 25 companies on at least 50 projects across Europe, the US and South Africa. These projects have included:
- Software evaluation and selection
- System implementation
- Operational performance audit and systems utilisation review
- Stocking policy definition and parameter optimisation
- Data health check
- Business process definition
- Training program development and delivery
In addition to working with many supply chain software systems developed in-house, I’ve worked with Oracle Demand Forecasting and Advanced Inventory Planning, Microsoft Dynamics, Aldata (Symphony) Solutions and Worldwide Chain Stores Systems.
I’m a Chartered Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and also a committee member of the Central Southern Region.
