Recovering From Peak

The period after peak is a crucial and often neglected time.

If you, as an end-to-end Supply Chain team, consider the least successful key-trading season you’ve been involved in and what made it unsuccessful there are likely to be a few, recurring themes emerging. These will tend to be things such as failures to plan, failures to properly resource or failings ‘out of your direct control’ – those squarely sat with vendors, other internal teams or even with the customers’ inability to forecast. The root cause of an unsuccessful peak will almost always have been the recurrence of a known issue coupled with not enough being done to prevent it.
