A guide on the Logistics decisions E-Commerce businesses must consider when setting up new warehouse operations.
E-Commerce sales in the UK have seen a gradual and consistent increase as a percentage of total retail sales over the past 10 years. In 2007, online purchases accounted for less than 5% of the market. However since the middle of 2016, the proportion of retail sales made via the internet has been in excess of 15% excluding fuel sales.
This shift is even more stark for retailers of non-food products, for whom the percentage of their goods sold online is roughly double that of their food retailing counterparts.
