Prior to moving into consultancy some years ago, I worked for two of the big four retailers in the UK in senior Supply Chain and Logistics positions. At Hatmill I’ve supported over 30 organisations in performing future capacity reviews and five-year plans, leading the design and build of new automated depots, and aiding organisations to improve customer proposition and reduce capital expenditure across the UK, Europe and the USA. The role I am especially proud during my time at Hatmill was my involvement in leading the PPE and Vaccine Supply Chain teams for the DHSC and NHS during the Covid-19 crisis.
Although I’ve predominantly been involved in the Logistics and Supply Chain industry, over the last 20+ years I have also had the opportunity to support business and IT transformational programmes, both in the UK and the USA.
Prior to moving into consultancy some years ago, I worked for two of the big four retailers in the UK in senior positions for 17 years.
Since joining Hatmill in 2017, I have helped organisations in a number of ways. From performing future capacity reviews and five year plans with various boards, leading the design and build of new automated depots, to aiding organisations to reduce capital expenditure across the UK, Europe and the USA. During the pandemic, I headed up the new PPE and Vaccine Supply Chain teams for the DHSC and NHS during the Covid-19 crisis, and then supported the strategic direction of Test and Trace towards the end of the programme.
Prior to consultancy, I performed various roles within the retail sector, working across supply chain and logistics. With experience in numerous head office and operational roles, including heading up a productivity department that had a £400m annual spend, leading the supply and logistics transformation for a major retailer, supporting Wal-Mart’s international system development strategy, being site manager for a multi temp site employing 750 people (ambient, chill, produce, transport, HR and VMU), and setting up a wholesale deal with Amazon for a major retailer in the UK.
